i posted about sending arconian militia forces west under the guise of assisting avalonia before i annexed east arcon. the "they take advantage of being in the borders" assertion is invalid. there were no militias stationed in east arcon during the annexation, and new romekate's military is largely focused on dismantling nationalist uprisings in gruzia and east arcon.
The militias were not placed under Romekati command and were to act locally.  They were overseen by G.L. Magnus, part of the government in exile.  I said this during the early stages of the war when the militias were being created.  In fact, Romekate's sudden and absolute control of this area is put into question.

The dismantling of nationalist forces is exactly why there's a problem.

then again, considering the mass emigration of georgiens to scotia, i don't think they have the manpower for a successful revolt, so east arcon is the only real threat... and even then. that's land that got plagued by civil war. and besides two cities, it's largely farmland (some of which anglond is managing), with the forts all occupied by romekate forces or just beyond defensibility due to battle damage.
The land that was "plagued" by the civil war has traditionally been a very pro-Arconian area.  Regardless of what forces occupy the area, Arcon has made moves upon occupying and settling these areas to be loyal to those that live there.  Regardless of the sides taken in the civil war, both saw in their eyes what would be better for creating a more unified Arcon.  Now that those sides don't matter, E. Arcon is less devoted towards their own ideological squabbles and more towards the force threatening their culture.

The forces involved for pro-PNP were primarily the military, bourgeois lower nobility (second, third, and onward sons) and impoverished sympathizers.  The forces that were pro-CA were Arconian militias, PNP defectors, and outside support.  The revolution failed because of poor calculation on Lamontagne's behalf and because of a lack of solidarity amidst the forces.  Because of this, the majority of Arcon was pro-CA.

Also I'd like to call into question your seemingly arbitrary 20,000,000 population.

Claims of broken loyalty are unsubstantiated. Kyrev upheld its status as ally, deploying in the north to stop an advance there from both Arconian and Romekati armies. Soldiers on the eastern front were also prepared to move into Grúzia-Nec, but by the time Romekati armies had advanced enough for that to be applicable the majority of the Grúzian population were evacuated south, many of them on riverboats given to Grúzia by Kyrev, and a functioning government or military hierarchy were absent so as to coordinate with.

The defensive pact exists in response to somewhat recent activity from Avalonia, the rebel forces in Arcon and increased military activity from the west. A defensive pact benefits both nations, though moreso Kyrev - its oil pocket lies adjacent to Avalonia. Additionally, a simmering fury exists in many of the Kyrevan people, and especially - even dangerously so - in the hearts of many infantrymen and officers due to Arcon's actions during the war. Seeing now as much of Arcon begins to boil, again, there remains a chance to enact justice for their perceived slights; in the business of revenge, the enemy of my enemy can often be my friend.

I should clarify, though - Romekate and Kyrev had signed a non-aggression pact, mostly out of Kyrev's fear, quite soon after Grúzia capitulated. Neither of us posted in the thread, mostly due to my own forgetfulness. The defensive pact is an upgrade to the prior agreement.

I'm going to call my unemployment into question seeing as I just started an enormous series of public works.

It's not what the claims mean.  It's how a lot of citizens are reacting in response to the defensive pact.  Whether it's true or not, these things tend to spread around.

Also missed the public works thing.  Rates adjusted.

Exactly what I posted is the information given out to citizens - now widely available post-war data to support our counterclaim.

Let it also be known that the military that invaded Grúzia-Nec was Lamontagne's Arcon, not Önecht's Arcon.  I didn't post it before, but Arcon's new government apologizes for the actions of Lamontagne, and despite its current troubles, sends 1.3 metric tons of its finest and dwindling supply of coffee and a case of wines that Arcon was able to get ahold of through Conservatian trade but that is unavailable to Kyrev.

Kyrev sends payment back for the trade, but neither its citizens nor its government is affected - the shipment isn't publicized, as it shouldn't be, and those receiving it in the capital are irked somewhat by the perceived attempt to buy back trust.

The money is used entirely on Arconian relief programs particularly those in reconstruction.

We don't wish to buy back.  We just send it as an apology for evil done under the name of Arcon.  Take it how you will, but I don't wish to be at odds.

question

should something occur as to where Grúzia-Nec (no i didnt evacuate a majority of the population, infact the boats had taken a smaller portion. the majority had been where they escaped to kyrev, but they soon came back after the war was lost) becomes relevant again, what'll happen to the empire i hold now?

Well that depends.  You could act as another power rebelling in another land if they are your old people if there is reasonable evidence to support that the rebellion has a chance, however, any other nations must be completely abandoned in order to re-gain that control.

Suppose Seris took over Vlast in annexation and Vlastcovites started rioting for independence, Hr. Hurricane could drop all current ventures and resume control as Vlastcovite revolutionaries.  This doesn't mean that Vlast would win.  It would make it a gamble.

Anglond begins a national initiative to support the free market by making it not free, because government influence :(. i mean im not eliminating free market its just the government ordering via taxes and private businesses GOSH

Infrastructure is ordered, therefore JOBS!! Furthermore, we need engineers to continually upgrade and upgrade these roads... and civil workers are good everywhere.

As the year closes, and the upgrades and changes to the military finally end, Wilhelm shifts his attention to the economy. Public works only last for so long, and the most impressive infrastructure in the land isn't good for much if you're not using it. To this end, a shift occurs in the public steel industry, and is encouraged to happen in the private industry too. Kyrev's advantageous location close to many iron deposits as well as the extensive knowledge of steel production allow for an impressive potential to sell this high grade steel to the entire continent.

The Thyssan Trading Company, who has high stakes in local river trade, partners with Kröpp AG to produce and sell their high grade steel to whoever wishes to buy, for comparatively low cost. A landmark decision, considering all high grade steel production had been sold strictly to domestic buyers. For this purpose, the conglomerate Thyssan-Kröpp AG is formed. While ocean-faring vessels have existed previously, they are unsuitable for large scale trade. To this end, TK AG partners with the Kriegsmarine to create steel hulled ocean faring vessels, primarily as haulers, though the military interest in this regard is undeniable.

Additionally, the city of Meternich in the north, at the base of the oil pocket, grows substantially. Bolstered by large scale expansion in the north, it represents the trade and shipping hub as well as the cultural and governmental capital of the frontier like North.

The office of Chancellor, held by Wilhelm Gerhard Graf von Spee, is turned into a decidedly political position. Previously, the Chancellor had been allowed to and indeed did run many domestic, economic and even military ventures. Wilhelm I's insistence in running these aspects of the country directly means that now, the Chancellor handles most political matters that do not directly require the oversight of the Kaiser.

Kyrev's top engineers meet in the fortress city of Bresden to begin a highly secretive project. Advisors from the oil fields in the north and the steel tycoons in the northeast arrive soon after. Engineers from Seris are requested, and in return any fruits will be freely shared with Seris.

Increased military presence in poverty stricken and libertyless rural frontier areas causes revolt risk to sky rocket. Baytiyite soldiers begin abusing their powers as peacekeepers, and with a poor command system, this goes mostly unnoticed. Several small riots occur causing deaths of both government troops and civillians, and the situation only continues to escalate.

In addition to the sedition law, the consequences of breaking sharia law in all parts of the caliphate are worsened by order of Caliph Baytiyyad, hoping to control the rowdy peasants. Minority Orthodox Christians of the Southwest and pagans of the Far East grow uneasy as Islamic policies loom over their heads, ready to come down as forced conversions at any moment.

Former military Colonel Osman Sedik reunites in Kuman-nistan with several of his junior officers and aides. They are seen departing easterly on horseback.

Several shipments of illegal weapons entering the Caliphate are seized near border crossings with Anglond and Scotia. Investigations into the purposes of said weapons are underway.

the 20 mil claim is based upon annexing half of arcon and all of gruzia, plus population growth.
as for the militias: i hadn't realized they weren't under my command. very well, then. when news of the annexation reaches east arcon it is accompanied by orders towards romekate forces to dismantle the militias by any means necessary.

Vlast announces its intention of purchase Serisian and Kyrevian rifles.
