Several large riots occur in the Baytiyyite countryside after demands for withdrawal of government troops is not met, nor considered. These riots, occurring outside several governing buildings, were met with extreme force by the Caliph's troops. Over 200 protesting civilians are shot and killed. The event is known across the countryside as "Bloody Tuesday."
Hours after the attacks, several patrols of government soldiers are ambushed and shot to death. A group named the "Conservation Liberation Front" takes responsibility. The Rebel group is lead by General Osman Sedik.
