can we do this with bernie sanders
tbh I don't think Bernie was annoying. I think however a large portion of the "Bernie bro" base was. It was nearly impossible to have a discussion about anything political without some imbecile coming in saying how much better things would be if Bernie wins.

You would think the man was the literal second coming of Jesus Christ by the way these people talk about him and not a rotten politician pandering for votes like the rest of them

Only if we get to ice Matthew first

glad we could reach an agreement

I think everyone was hyped for him at first but over time he's just shown the world he's a huge SJW stuffbag, people who were anti-establishment who wanted Bernie really didn't know what they were voting for

I mean, look at this map of the county-level results

All the Dem votes come from small pockets of a major metropolitan area. Everything outside of that is solid Red with few exceptions. OK went entirely red.

Even California was surprisingly split on the county level, but due to the cities in the areas that went blue, those votes are enough to carry the state. Same with New York State and Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, NYC, etc. Outside the cities, almost everything is red. But cities are enough to carry the state.

Imagine the entire election being like that. Your vote doesn't matter unless you live in NY or Cali. That would be complete bullstuff.
yeah, that's how things are right now. i'm in alabama and my vote almost means nothing because the state will always have a republican plurality. if they allocated their electoral votes proportionately to the number of votes each candidate actually got, then i'd actually contribute something, but as things stand, it's meaningless. according to that map, it would just result in republicans getting more votes, but i wonder how the positive efficacy boost would affect things. dems appeal to already low-efficacy demographic groups who probably don't even bother going out to vote in red states, but i wonder if a change like that would encourage them to get out and cast their ballot

donad Annoying Orange is orange

So, anyone have any predictions as to how forgeted everyone is when the tech bubble bursts? I think it's gonna generate a lot more support for Socialism, at the very least.

Democrat policy appeals to the poor and the young. Both groups suck at actually showing up to vote.

You have no idea how many times the following discussion took place at my university.

Other person trying to make small talk: "God it sucks that Annoying Orange won. loving rednecks ruining the country."
Me: "Did you vote?"
Other: "No, I didn't have time/was busy/had class/was a hassle"
Me: "Then you can't complain. You could have voted against him but didn't."
Other: "..."

This is also a very blue state. Apathy is a motherforgeter

yeah, i definitely support making election day a national holiday and stuff like same-day registration to make it a lot easier for people to actually vote

mail in ballots exist for a reason, you lazy libtards. even so i delivered mine by hand cause its stupid to complain and yet not take the 15 minutes it took me to go drop it off at the polling place

people who dont vote dont really have a right to complain about policy. ballots include much more than purely presidential related matters too, jeez

if there are regions without mail in ballots i guess its an acceptable excuse, but i doubt being at a college puts you too far from a polling place to just go anyways, so the person cappy is talking about is probably just a lazy starfish

what if you aren't allowed to vote?

I voted. The polling place was a 5min walk. Those ppl are just lazy af.

Voting is a civic duty and I would be all for making employers allot time for employees to vote on election day, but I don't think forcing people to vote is a good idea. Even though voting is a civic duty I believe it would compromise the election to force people that often don't give a stuff to vote.
