when you have terrorists hiding among their own populations and using innocent civilians as meatshields, you dont really have much of a choice. some civilians may die and it may not feel good, but killing the terrorists does good.

the good of the many outweighs the good of the few.

Bernie is just not realistic.
Whether or not you agree with his policies, as president, you can only do so much. And with a republican congress to block his every move nonetheless.
The same goes for most presidents, and it's usually a good thing. Bernie won't be able to raise the federal minimum wage to $15, and, depending on how you look at the economics, that's probably a good thing.

In the future, I think that drones will end up causing less collateral damage than general infantry, but a lot of the current collateral damage is because of faulty information that we knowingly act upon. It's one thing to accidentally kill a bystander when blowing up an Al Qaeda vehicle convoy, it's another to knowingly blow up a hospital because there's probably a couple insurgents in there.

I'm less inclined to blame the technology and moreso inclined to blame the American ideal of fighting for vague ideals in a land full of faceless civilians whose lives don't really matter until they pick up arms against us.

raising up the minimum wage up to $15 will be good for like a month. then inflation will kick in, $15 will become the new crappy minimum wage, and then you get bernie sanders mk II like 20 years later saying he minimum wage should be raised to $25. yes, living off of minimum wage is crappy, but raising it to $15 isn't going to fix it. seventh said about it being a good thing that it won't happen, which is true. money inflation isn't a good thing at all and everybody is going to lose dollars over something that would end up being a useless fix.
that's actually one of the reasons why i dislike bernie, he's being way too ambitious with some of his plans

Scaling the minimum wage to adjust for inflation is actually a good thing. The major drawback of raising the minimum wage is that it increases the price of human labor, resulting in lay-offs and unemployment.

The counter-argument to that latter point is that companies will create more jobs in the long-term by anticipating an increase in consumer demand among minimum wage workers. At this point, I'm pretty much convinced that there is no study that presents all of the data without a clear bias one way or the other.

he said earlier in the thread that he was going for either cruz or Annoying Orange, didn't realize he changed

it's still seriously messed up what he's saying

it's war, unfortunately innocents have died and probably always will die one way or another, regardless of which side they're on. i just wish we never started the drone bombings in the first place

I've really been holding back on every post you've made in this thread, but I really can't any more since this is getting too ridiculous.

You seem to be immature and misguided, and I say that not in the sense of political views, but rather, in how you've conducted yourself.

You've attacked other users in this thread for disagreeing with you; not necessarily because they are wrong, but primarily because they disagree with you. I understand that you're 14 and feel that you're growing up and beginning to understand the world, but please try to refrain from being a richard about the fact that you've formed an opinion. I understand that testosterone is a hell of a drug, but attacking others for their views isn't how a discussion works, and refraining from such attacks would likely be prudent.

by calling people morons indirectly like that makes you no better than the people you're insulting

I'm not "attacking" them for the fact that they're supporting people I don't like, I'm "attacking" them for being complete idiots and having extremely screwed up beliefs, like to kill the families of terrorists to stop them (which likely wouldn't work in the first place considering that a whole lot of people fighting for causes they believe are important, terrorists included, are willing to give their lives for it)

You're dodging what was initially said; you said the following:

You're trying to name and shame people for disagreeing with you. It's perfectly okay to not agree with someone, but the diversity of thought, belief, and freedom of speech ought to be respected. In other words, someone disagreeing with you doesn't make them wrong. You've got a lot of thunder in the mouth but very little lightning in the hand; if you're going to disagree with an opinion, at least explain it instead of trying to belittle people.

I had said that because I had noticed a reoccurring theme in which many (not saying all, you are among the exceptions to this) Annoying Orange supporters are either really dumb, or insensitive, screwed-up-in-the-head, ignorant starfishs.

This is true, I never said it wasn't. For instance, you are correct on many things that are facts, such as that
if you're going to disagree with an opinion, at least explain it instead of trying to belittle people.
This is also true and a good philosophy (again, you among other people break the chain of the standard Annoying Orange supporters), however the fact that whenever I made a valid point I was either completely ignored or shut down with a dumb un-thought out statement really pissed me off, so I tried it myself, and low and behold two people immediately criticize me for it.

No hard feelings, man, just try to be conscious. There's a lot of trolling/baiting going on in this thread, and it's best to not stoop to the levels of the trolls and baiters. You don't seem like you ever had bad intentions, but it's best that this thread remain as civil as possible.
