Seriously, I said right in that post that you quoted that I understand it. I just don't agree with it.
The intention is to prevent larger states from having all the voice, and giving protection to smaller states. To prevent candidates from campaigning only in higher population areas, and instead make sure everyone knows what's up. And sure that was an issue in the founding father's days. But these days, with the easy access to information we have, you can campaign anywhere, and the whole world sees it. So I don't see it as an issue anymore.
If you disagree with me, then make a counterargument. Don't just go "hurrr you just don't understand it"
