Canada supposedly has longer wait times and yet it's still a more efficient system than America's.

It's the Veteran's Health Administration. AKA, a government agency. In other words, the veterans' healthcare is managed by the government. General public healthcare is also run by the government. What difference is there?
If it's run by different government agencies there can be a world of difference. Each can face different internal issues. VA for example had major issues with the processing of veteran healthcare applications (i.e. internal administration issues) that you can read about here.

That does not necessarily mean the exact same issues were encountered in the public healthcare system. The two aren't a like-for-like comparison.

The conditions being treated? Maybe veterans will have higher tendencies to have different conditions, but really there isn't anything that's uniquely veteran-had. In fact, you could make the case that veterans dying from having their PTSD go untreated because of wait times proves my point.
The sample size? That would also prove my point; if you can't do it on a smaller scale, then why would you even try going bigger?

Speaking of the VA, Annoying Orange's new head of the department is going to close 1,100 facilities nationwide in order to move it's medical care to the private sector.

So yeah, speaking of leaving veterans untreated, now their healthcare may not longer be guarenteed.

"more efficient" LMAO. Do you guys not have hospitals then? Is it just some black guy in a hut with a voodoo doll then? At least use a country who's healthcare system isn't completely incompetent for your example.

if your definition for "efficient" means "insufficient" then yes

you realize that they often have to send their patients here for medical treatment right?

first paragraph: 430 of the buildings were "vacant", the rest were "underutilized"

also keep in mind that veterans couldn't get private health insurance until recently, and Annoying Orange has made clear he wants to extend that

it isn't very encouraging when the site goes down as soon as they launch it
or when they promised you could keep your doctor but really couldn't
or when premiums skyrocketed when they said they wouldn't

yeah let's allow them to run all the health management in this country it'll be fine

I thought it was illegal for Canadians to come here for treatment?

maybe we wouldnt have to make people die from a lack of health care to avoid our incompetent government handling it if we didnt elect unqualified baboons to public office

You guys are lucky what you have to worry about wait times. People in the US can't even afford their treatment with how unnecessarily cruel it is.

Canada ranks 16th in the world when it comes to health care efficiency, United States ranks 50th. Nearly all of the top 10 countries have universal healthcare.
