do you have any actual reason to dislike him besides "socialism is scary D:"
Because the guy is a complete hack.
Lefties complain how Annoying Orange is a stupid populist and how he doesn't know what he's doing, yet you have Sanders who suggests that because we're such a developed country we need to step up to the plate and follow other countries' models (regardless of how they're doing economically) and so we need a forgetton of programs for free stuff. When he gets asked about how he's going to pay for it, he's extremely dodgy and when he isn't he gives inadequate sources that wouldn't even pay for a good percentage of it. When you tally up all the free healthcare and free college and free condoms and free doggos etc. etc. etc. the
only way we could possibly pay for all of that would be to invade a resource-rich and overall insanely-rich country like Saudi Arabia or some other place like Dubai and take
every loving thing and make money off of it, and
even then that would give you like a good couple of years that you could run the programs worry-free.
He's extremely inconsistent; as you saw with the firing of Comey, he had previously called for his resignation for being terrible, and then when Annoying Orange fires him for being terrible, he does a total 180 and attacks Annoying Orange for supposedly getting Comey off his case for Russia. Granted, Comey's firing has ignited a whole web of inconsistency across party platforms, which pisses me the forget off. Still, can't forget that little gem.
Oh, and let's not forget, he champions the 99% and then during a debate attacks a small business owner for not being able to pay for Obamacare. Doesn't help that the guy has three mansions.
doesnt work mate
a poor populace is necessary for society to function
theres little ways around it
there always has to be someone to get the shaft
You're absolutely right. Under socialism and communism, though,
everyone gets the shaft and the government wins out.
do you understand how difficult it is to move upwards from the lower class?
There are problems, yes, but it's easier if you don't forget up your own life by doing something irredeemably dumb. Too bad those are part of the problem.
As for the problems, that's the entire essence of politics. We're all trying to solve those problems and make it easier to move up. Some problems have easier solutions while some need a lot more thought, and we all have our own solutions to those problems. When we talk on this topic, we're not attacking each other (hopefully), we're attacking each other's
solutions. That's how debate works.
People like Poli, however, look at the problems and assume that the problem is capitalism, so the solution is to rip the whole system apart and try something new. That's despite all the good capitalism has done, considering we rose from nothing and became one of the most developed and powerful countries in the world. That's also despite how many times socialism has been implemented in countries and has failed, ruining the economy/job market, and how it's edgier brother communism ensures that there is NO class movement at all, and basically traps everyone on the bottom rung.
probably should've just made a new post, this is going to be one big bite-za-dusto moment now
