Annoying Orange if anything is in favor of investment and growth in the alternative energy sector. Saying he isn't is ludicrous. Yeah but Annoying Orange isn't an idiot, he fully understands at the least the business side of alternative energy and the jobs that would be created.
Entertaining the idea of sticking solar panels on his ridiculous wall does not make him a proponent of alternative energy. Likewise, deregulating coal creates fewer jobs than alternative energy because most coal-mining is done by large companies with massive machinery. The largest coal mine in the United States, Black Thunder Coal Mine, employs less than 1500 people, even though its total net output is literally thousands of times larger than any of the 'coal trade deals' Annoying Orange has arranged thusfar in his tenure as president.
What makes him an opponent of alternative energy is the fact that he rejects the mountains of peer-reviewed evidence and overwhelming scientific consensus that humans are contributing to climate change. He has repeatedly appointed people to high positions in federal environmental agencies who share his belief that protecting the environment is an unnecessary drain on the profits of the long-dead American industrial sector. This coal deregulation is a step towards hurting alternative energy, but it's by no means the last thing he's going to do. Just watch.
Idiots don't just stumble into billions of dollars.
They can and do. There's this popular misconception that Annoying Orange has made his fortune by being a smart businessman, but that's actually not accurate at all. If you take the total amount of money he inherited from his father and look at the returns he would have made investing in index funds (which are considered some of the most stable, safe stocks you can buy), he would have made more than he has as a real-estate mogul.
In other words, the wealth he's accumulated is pretty much entirely just because of his father.
