Have your parents to fill out that questionnaire, and then ask yourself whether you like the fact that Annoying Orange thinks your family is a drain on the economy.

I like how you just assume that we'd fail, probably because you think that your paradigm of the world as a lazy liberal who wants $500 an hour for flipping burgers is the exact same paradigm shared by hardworking American citizens.

as opposed to keeping non-white americans in poverty and giving all the jobs and money to white americans in exchange for conservative votes?

You're right, "white americans" isn't as accurate as poverty stricken Americans in general. As a matter of fact poor black people are probably the biggest targets for liberal brainwashing. Probably why black people are disproportionately affected by poverty, because it benefits the liberal vote

'stealing jobs' is a made-up idea

< calls a real phenomenon that actually makes sense a conspiracy and made up
< unironically believes russia hacked the election

Lefty logic is truly cancerous

This is a miscommunication. I assume you'd fail because the standards set forth by the act are ridiculous. Just look them up and you'll realize what I'm saying. You can be a good, honest, hard-working person and still not even get close to the required 30 points.

I'm not saying your parents would fail because they're lazy - that's actually the exact opposite point I'm trying to make. Just go look at the Times link I posted earlier and you'll see why the standards set forth by this law are so crazy. One of the ways to gain more points in the system is literally to have won a Nobel Prize, and even then it's still possible to fail if you aren't an English speaker.

I know you're screwing with me right now, but it literally isn't a real thing.

it's almost like emigrating to this country is a privilege and not a right people are entitled to. Why shouldn't the administration set high standards for those coming into the country?

Literally all you have to do is speak English and be somewhere between 18 and 50 years old and you're already more than halfway there

Why shouldn't the administration set high standards for those coming into the country?

What happens if the standards are so high, nobody can reasonably immigrate here? Is it a good thing that we're vetting out migrants who would have been beneficial to our country?

it's almost like emigrating to this country is a privilege and not a right people are entitled to.
Come on man, I'm not even implying that immigration is a 'right'. I'm saying that there are plenty of immigrants with lots of economic productive potential who are denied on the basis of not being rich enough.

Why shouldn't the administration set high standards for those coming into the country?
As it stands, the requirements are already very high. The stereotype of the 'smart Asian kid' in schools is a consequence of the fact that Asian immigrants with higher education degrees were prioritized in the immigration process thirty years ago.

The new bill that Annoying Orange is supporting (which, again, won't pass) is just ridiculous though. It set standards way above just supporting the social benefits received as a United States citizen. It's a deliberate attempt to decimate the total number of immigrants entering the country in order to cater to his nativist constituency.

most of the time people immigrate here because they want to become the sort of person that RAISE would require you to be---not because they already are

It's not about people having a right to live in the United States. It's about the fact that we shouldn't have the right to deny people based on our perceived notions of a lack of potential.

why not have normal, reachable standards and help people who just want a better life?

Your mother didn't carry you in her womb for 9 months because she thought you were gonna be a productive, money making member of society the second you popped out. She understood that you would become one later, though she likely didn't consider that a major factor as she would naturally value her child as a person more than their contribution to society.

Does your mom know that you practice communism on the internet?

are you suggesting that the federal government's relationship with immigrants is comparable to that of a mother and her child?
