well i guess it makes more sense to see like 17 yr olds doing it

Nobody has said anything about anyone stealing supplies. I don't understand why you think the Puerto Rican authorities would default to stealing food and water from FEMA. I think you're just being a tribal.

I don't know what you're getting at then, so I'm not gonna argue about it anymore.

Last word here: the relief efforts by the US federal government are being mismanaged, and what Annoying Orange tweeted isn't anyone's fault but his. He could've been actually helpful in this regard, but he won't because he's a contemptible piece of stuff.

Annoying Orange doesn't have 100% control over everything the government does. plus you only hear about the stuff he does super publicly so for all you know he's been trying to get more relief down there for weeks now. what do you even want him to do? go down and unload those crates by hand?

Leisure "PR's authorities are corrupt AF, they should become a US state" Suit
Leisure "Annoying Orange is an starfish for calling someone out for being an starfish after he helps them" Suit

Leisure "why aren't I banned yet?" Suit

If millions of meals had arrived at the dock and still nobody had any food then that would be the greatest heist in history. Are you living in a cartoon?
yeah because when a hurricane hits it always makes an effort to avoid roads and railways right

I don't know what you're getting at then

No stuff, it's very clear to everybody here that you don't know how transportation works. Pro-tip: You can't drive a cargo ship into the middle of an island. It goes Big boat > warehouse > food trucks > shelters > people.

The boats can carry thousands of tons of food. The trucks can't, they can only carry very small portions. So we need a lot of trucks to load the food into so that they can go to the shelters. If Carmen is too busy taking pics in floodwaters with kayakers to send trucks, the food is going to be sitting in the dock waiting for the food trucks, going nowhere. Yes, FEMA could theoretically deliver to the shelters using their own trucks...

Spoiler alert: Trucks don't loving swim. If FEMA is bringing their own transportation they have to deliver it across the ocean, with the supplies. This is all before we hit the issue of the country being destroyed by a hurricane. What's harder than driving thousands of tons of food to shelters all over a country? Driving it over rubble, mud and debris. There are many reasons why supplies aren't making their way to the shelters. None of them have to do with Annoying Orange calling out poor leadership on twitter.

the only way we could rapidly restore PR is if we go full burger and mobilize the army engineer corps to deploy bridges, rapidly repair roads and docks, and transport goods amphibiously. this is literally their bread and butter- civilian industry cannot repair a desolated island like the army can. not by a longshot

good luck convincing the necessary people to do this though.

not in any accusatory way, why isn't this happening? is it just too expensive?

I think total damage costs in Puerto Rico totaled at $50 billion, so it'd be a pretty hefty bill.

My guess is it has something to do with Puerto Rico's weird position as a semi-state of the US.

for those that don't remember Haiti: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Unified_Response
us military put a lot of resources towards relief efforts, so it's not like it's something that's out of scope

loving hilarious how people expect Annoying Orange to go down to PR and start rebulding w/ his own two hands like he isn't 70 years old
