China won't hand land over to SK.
NK is quite a rich country of resources (hence affording such a large standing army and missile/nuclear/satellite research programs), and it sells most of its exports to China.

If China can get ahold of that land and never have to pay another country for the resources then they will do so.

If the NK 'government' were to be overthrown and the nation annexed, then one of the biggest challenges will be negotiating borders with China.

I've been learning Hangul for several months now and i am very educated in Korean culture. I know how to use chopsticks and eat ramen and my favorite music is KPOP. because Korea is such a sofisticated culture i am strongly for the idea of saving korea from north korea because korea has the best food and music on earth and they're so much more sofisticated than us.

i can speak fluent korean now so that makes me an official korean citizen. i have plans to move to korea and date korean women and be a kpop star.

Russia may try to squeeze out a little land for itself in the north, near its border.

You do understand that the enemy we fought it Vietnam uses the same exact tactics as those we fough against in Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan, right? Guerilla warfare has always countered a properly trained and proper fighting military, that's why it works. Not once has guerilla warfare been implemented in the US military since the days of the American Revolution and whenever the US was met with guerillas from there, it was always with disaster on their side.

I really don't see the point in using nuclear armaments. If you decintigrated NK, the land would be uninhabibitable for a while because of radiation. Don't we have standard ordinance with large payloads? Also, I honestly can't really see NK being liberated. The populace is so brainwashed and closeted to the outside world, I imagine them truly hating everyone else.

Well yeah, that's what we, the West, would like to do.

But it's naive to think that China, and Russia, are going to let the land of one of their communist allies be completely absorbed into the West.

Not once has guerilla warfare been implemented in the US military since the days of the American Revolution and whenever the US was met with guerillas from there, it was always with disaster on their side.

Well that's because the US hasn't been invaded since the Revolution.

You can't use Guerilla Warfare as an invading army, because it is a purely defensive strategy. It's a case of hiding and doing hit and run tactics.

You can't do that if your aim is to take land away from someone else, particularly if it's not your native land that you know how to use.
