I can't help it.

Are you loving kidding me? You are really generalizing people's race? Aren't you this ''liberal sjw'' who's supposed to defend people? Oh but no, forget, those white PRIVELEDGED MEN!!! Honestly what is wrong with you? Do you not understand that you are more/as rascist as the people putting out these tweets? mojon
white people = privileged
men = privileged
add em' up... privileged!!! they're inherently privileged, they can't help it. some abuse their privilege, some don't!

you = wrong

"privileged white people, mainly men, creating a backlash to what they can't comprehend"
"this day in #whitenesshistorymonth brought 2uby #maleprivilege"

the posts are implying that men/white people are inherently ignorant to issues of equality
which is, by definition, prejudice. i'm not trying to do a "gotcha!!! progressives are the real tribals!!" thing cus i'm a filthy bleeding-heart liberal myself, i'm just not comfortable with that kind of stuff
but white males are born privileged. it's a fact! wish it wasn't true, but it is.

you = wrong
tell me why.
tell me how white people don't have more power than PoC, and how men don't have more power than women.
please, i would love to know

i'd also like to know how you came to the conclusion that white people are more privileged than any other colour of skin and how men are more privileged than women
your explanation thus far has been 'yep privilege! mm so much privilege yep they gots it! mhm.'

but white males are born privileged. it's a fact! wish it wasn't true, but it is.
ok

the problem isn't with the idea of privilege, it's with the implication that white males are just inherently ignorant

the difference being that privilege is a product of society, and ignorance is a product of the self. by implying that white males are inherently ignorant, that's an assumption about an individual's traits as a person, which is Uncool as much as assuming that black people are inherently criminally insane.

someone's privilege would be a result of the society they grow up in and how it treats them, their ignorance is a result of their personal experience, and that's not something that should be generalised.

the problem i have with this tag is that it seems to connote some kind of hostility or passive aggressiveness, which is premium starfish shouting territory. i'm sure there are plenty of people being perfectly reasonable about it, but forgetin "The Triggering" just sounds to me like a movement to be as much of an starfish as possible just so that you can be challenged about it

i haven't even looked at the tag, that's just my gut reaction
I took a quick glance at it and that's pretty much what's happening from both sides at this point
and typically both sides like to mock the opposition as much as possible so it's no surprise that the tag's called '#TheTriggering'

most of what's going on in the tag really outlines what i'm talking about in my other post(point A especially) in that neither side will actually sit down and tackle the opposition's points in a reasonable manner. Reminds me a lot of modern American 'liberal v conservative' politics honestly, especially fighting about gun control since that's typically a 'hot topic'

honestly, actually addressing points would probably kill a lot of the stuff flinging but absolutely nobody seems to want to actually tackle that:
*sniff* *sniff* p-poor white people!!! :(((( white ppl have it so hard!!!!

(this one's about the pictures, not the post itself mostly)
now you believe in triggering, that's step 1... good...
step 2 is to stop using dumbass words like "feminational socialists" and "sjw" (also realize that the majority of (intersectional) feminists use the word correctly. stop cherry-picking, please)
yes, because feminational socialists and SJWs rampantly abuse legitimate terms to suit their own petty pissfits.
I'm legit curious, how have your grammar/typing skills deteriorated within the past year?
idk but this is hard to take this seriously when you say this

>pick one

case in point. If you want someone to actually think about what you're saying, don't act like an starfish to them; actually bother to explain why you think how you do.
reworded that last bit for clarity

i'm a creek man and i don't feel like i have any less power than a white man

but i mean if you want to argue with my daily experience of being a minority, that's cool too.

i'd also like to know how you came to the conclusion that white people are more privileged than any other colour of skin and how men are more privileged than women

...are you loving SERIOUS right now??? are you really?? how about the fact that black men are being shot by the police for very petty crimes, while white terrorists get it easy???? or the loveist portrayal of women in hollywood???

it's weird
the dumbasses are on both sides of this argument

can't tell if you're being sarcastic or just trying to troll

i'm a creek man and i don't feel like i have any less power than a white man
i'm a minority myself: african american. i'm a male, so i have some privilege... but at times, i do feel scared to leave my house (i also live in chicago, which can get violent)

it's weird
the dumbasses are on both sides of this argument

i tried to make it clear with

lets all get together and remember the significance this way too dragged out argument is going to be to all of us and the outside world...

but uh

"Privilege" does exist as a generalization of certain demographic groups. The thing is, it's a totally useless idea. The only thing it's ever been used for is to be tribal and loveist in generalizing white people, and males. Progressive stack, "mansplaining," disregarding ideas from whites/males, etc. It's exclusion disguised as inclusion.
