Joshua scavenges a few parts from the wrecked lawnmowers and manages to craft a giant hammer.

The only food VendOS has in it's inventory is human flesh.
Salvage their lawnmowers for lead to see if you can a makeshift magazine or two for the beretta. If that fails craft a fire axe with it so you can break down houses.

On the other side of the city, VendOS dispenses high-velocity bottles of Salt Water into the air like some sort of non-lethal artillery. The Salt Water bottles land perfectly at Joshua's feet minutes later. Joshua, not knowing that the bottles contain salt, drinks the salt water. Joshua instantly vomits and feels dehydrated.

Joshua goes to a restaurant and orders some pizza before eating it. The pizza is decent, but Joshua has eaten from better places.
Joshua sits back and reminisces about his life before drunkenly signing up for MindHive. When things were screwed up, but not as screwed up as his life is right now. Joshua then thinks about the upcoming Christmas dinner, and wonders about how either the Forumers controlling him will inevitably forget it up and turn it into a bloodbath, or how forces outside of his control will forget it up. For all Joshua knows, aliens could decide to invade Earth at the exact moment his family comes over for dinner, or a nuclear war between India and Pakistan could break out and somehow cause WW3. Could the day get any better? No. It won't.
Right on cue, Joshua hears a screeching van suddenly pull up to the restaurant, followed by another screeching car. Several armed men in orange burst into the restaurant shooting their guns into the air.

It is obvious that every single member of the Patriotic Sons of Freedom is heavily armed. Powerful sniper rifles, flamethrowers, handheld M2 Browning Machine Guns, some sort of laser weapon, fully automatic shotguns, light machine guns, and whatever else they have in their ludicrously deep pockets.
Joshua is sitting in a blind spot where none of the PSF members can spot him. It won't be a blind spot for long, as they will start moving throughout the entire restaurant robbing everyone soon. The Peacekeepers patrolling the entire city must have heard the gunfire by now, and they'll be coming eventually. Joshua is trapped with these madmen until the Peacekeepers arrive, but even then, Joshua doubts that the Peacekeepers will be able to resolve this incident. The entire restaurant is rigged to blow with an ungodly amount of explosives, and the PSF Terrorists can and will blow everyone sky loving high if they get agitated.
It is 5:10 PM on Friday, December 25. On January 1, Joshua will be released from MindHive. Assuming Augmented Horizons isn't lying. The Family comes over for Christmas at 6 PM.
