Anyway y'all are assuming that the combined lives of everybody in the train are worth more than the one man.

I wouldn't kill him because then I'd be directly responsible for his death. But if I let the trolley go, then I could wash my hands clean of the affair knowing that I didn't contribute to their deaths, and didn't contribute to the worker's death. My own conscience is more important to me than a bunch of people.

How far is the worker from you? Can you not pull the lever and then run and tackle the guy off the tracks?

Also how fast is this train going? Can it even switch tracks without it derailing and killing everyone?
