my parents didn't care unless it was a cursing or nudity factor. I used to play half life and quake 2 a lot back before we even had internet. I don't think simulated violence is something kids really take in.

have you even seen the little bitches of today? sometimes violence is the only answer, as much as i hate to say it. not like you're beating the stuff out of them anyways, just a corrective slap or something

i feel like those temper tantrums are result of something longer term. i know that when i was a kid and had one of those i was grabbed by the arm and dragged off to have a very stern talking to. always the same few words too, haha. im sure im still conditioned by it, if my mother would say "knock it off" in a stern and serious voice i'd even today still be like oh stuffttttt.
never got hit though so i really  feel like it's not needed

but really why would you hit your kid, unless you've already started on it to discipline them when they were a baby (why the forget would you hit a baby) they're probably gonna tell on you to someone else if they can talk
