Similar specs do not imply that they are the same. You can take two processors that have similar specs, but they will never work with the same code. The actual structure of the data on the disc is what matters.

I never said it was a blu-ray disc, all I said is that it was a proprietary disc that was based on blu-ray.

ZSNO is completely correct. The discs used by the Wii U are not standard blu-ray discs (and I'd argue that they're not built off the blu-ray format). They're not even read in the standard way (the Wii U spins the disc in reverse and there's some additional stuff it does). Because of the copyright protection system Nintendo is employing on the disc, we require the console to dump disc images.

their only good console ips for nintendo are splatoon and smash bros imo, i really wish they would just turn zelda into a handheld ip rather than a mainly console ip because i really enjoy it and it works better as a handheld imo
