Author Topic: is vaping harmful?  (Read 14747 times)

If you have to smoke, use real cigarettes, but otherwise, I would suggest just stick to weed, it helps fight cancer as opposed to inducing it.

i only thought of weed as a treatment to stress for me tbh

Honestly, I feel like if I didn't smoke as much weed as I do, I might very well have lung cancer from all them damn good chemicals they spray my tobacco with

Research will not be conducted on the subject because it is unethical to subject any populace, however willing, to potentially harmful chemicals.

That said, when brown townyzed, the gasses put off by vaping are consistent with those from regular cigarettes that have been shown to cause cancer and other health defects. Formaldehydes, Monoxides, and other new chemicals introduced by the synthetic "flavors" added to the jelly used (which itself greatly increases the carbon monoxide and other chemicals).

You know what it has less of though? Nicotine. Nicotine itself, while addictive, is not nearly as harmful as all of the chemicals that get packaged into a standard cigarette. An all natural cigarette made from fresh tobacco with no preservatives is relatively safe, and can actually be medicinal. Tobacco had long been used as a treatment by Native Americans for gastrointestinal issues.

What happens however, is people, addicted to nicotine and used to the amount used to satisfy their addiction, end up having to smoke more, taking larger draws, in order to gain the same nicotine high. This means that per draw, they are inhaling even more carcinogens, which in that sense place e-cigs to be far worse in my opinion.

And that is not even to consider the unknown effects that some of these new untested chemicals introduce, scientists have already begun linking vaping to a condition known as "popcorn lung" which considering how recent the technologies introduction to society is, it concerns me that we are already seeing such detrimental effects.

I have already explained this. Those studies conducted that claimed formaldehyde and other things have been tested when BURNING the eliquid and cotton, which are unsafe vaping conditions to begin with. On top of the popcorn lung thing, I have already posted a link saying that diacetyl does not have any direct proof of the causation of "popcorn lung".

I was never banned, but I appreciate your concern.
Something like that. My dad's GF also switched to a vap pen and had the same issue, but she was still smoking cigs the whole time she used it. I guess they don't agree with each other too well...

I can't anything you say seriousy when you call it "vap", lmfao.

What is popcorn lung?

Vaping vaporizes the stuff, as in water vaper or a sort of steam, it doesnt make real smoke and it doesnt burn.

I can't anything you say either bro, lol

It goes "pop pop" ? Idk but it sounds delicious

So bringing facts, evidence, and common sense using physics means you can't trust what I'm saying? Makes sense if your Christian spiel is real haha.

Exactly. Boiling water doesn't produce toxins, why should a safe temperature vaporization of a few liquids be any different?

What is popcorn lung?
It's usually only from the "butter" flavors in vape, but they are loving nasty so idk who would vape that stuff.

Moreso cream flavors, but even then, because of this diacetyl scare, lots of makers have opted to not use diacetyl-based flavorings.

id like to point out that gothboy isnt the sharpest tool in the shed
Definitely not. I must be one stupid son-of-a-bitch. I can't even figure out how to make add-ons!!1

I'm only speaking from experience on this topic. I've smoked cigs and used a vap.
Hope you kids take that into consideration.

I've been smoking weed and using "vap" and have had zero health issues since the start of using either, so take that anecdotal statement as you will, "kiddo".

You speak with authority on a lot of topics, regardless of what level of familiarity you have with it. Doesn't mean you're right.
