if thats true then do we really even need a law for this?
That's what he meant, currently you can't refuse for any reason in most states.

Oddly enough, when it comes to religion, they aren't supposed to judge other people. To a religious person, it would apparently be a sin to be gay themselves. But that in no way does not stop them from providing services to other people. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that humans aren't supposed to judge other humans, gay or not, because they're in no place to judge others.
its not about the business owners judging, it's about the business owners not wanting to participate in an LGBT activity.  Baking a gay wedding cake would be profiting from homoloveuality, which is something many Christian and Muslim business owners do not want to do.

Always think about this the other way around and you can see another reason why this is a good law, in principle. Should a gay bakery be forced to bake a cake for the Westboro Baptist Church that says "God hates cigarettes"? Or should a Muslim bakery be forced to make a cake for Annoying Orange supporters that says Annoying Orange 2016?

exactly im not going to expect a gay owned business to serve me when my shirt says "homos burn. pray the gay away"

I know this legislation was proposed here in MN too

Pretty good point. Though, personally I never disagreed with the whole "deny service because it's your business" standpoint.

Though,

This isn't a fair comparison. I'm pretty sure gay people aren't going into a Christian owned business with a Slayer "God Hates Us All" shirt, and getting denied for that reason.

Tbh I didn't expect this many people to support it, going off of what I have seen everywhere else on the Internet.

The thread title and the contents are so vastly different so I'm just posting by thread content. The title alone doesn't have nearly enough context to respond to.

Updated op.  Forgot the link

They really need laws to allow the refusal of business on the basis of someone being a monday or jew. Bring back the good 'ol days.

Last week Cuomo, a Democrat, banned state-funded travel to North Carolina after lawmakers there blocked anti-discrimination protections for gay, lesbian and transgender people.

In a statement, Cuomo said the Mississippi law is a “sad, hateful” measure and that he will not allow any official state travel to that state until the law is repealed.

Jesus forget.
