you should still probably state somewhere that it's a dice-based combat system though so people don't get confused
noedit - probably in the title maybe? like Dystopia Dice-RP or something

Can we stay on topic? This is about Zealot Freekilling.
erm

I mean, the map was pretty cool.

Yeah it looked pretty neat on the gallery thread. What a shame :/

lol i giggled
Your faked self-confidence is very reassuring.

Furthermore, thanks for saving the rest of us the trouble by letting us know we should avoid Ristenyok's server. I wouldn't want to find myself playing on such a server anyway, not when it's got such crappy hyper-brown townytical rules and such sheer administrative incompetence.

The Lore is  very well constructed. The map is high in quality and I try my best to make fun interesting events to mix up the inter RP drama.
While these things are good, in reference to your RP, no one's going to care how good the build and backstory are when you've got such extremely restrictive over-the-top rules that (if people don't want to get banned) forces players to frequently stop to think and brown townyze everything they're about to do. That's not fun at all.

He did not take the time to figure out what he was pulled into in any way. He just made an assumption and it got him in trouble. I will adjust his punishment when I get the time but he should have played more to understand how things work.
This is not his fault, it's your fault for failing to set up the RP properly so that new players are forced to learn the RP's lore and how to play the RP. It's called a beginner's room, or an entrance hall, or a tutorial. I'm doing such a concept on some RPs I will be doing in the future. Perhaps it would help you to do the same, instead of using your own failed system and then punishing players for it.

Can we stay on topic? This is about Zealot Freekilling. Its better to ask about how things are done then to just assume. If he felt that something was not explained well enough he should have brought it up in OOC before even thinking of making a character that would start out a "rebel"
Once again, it's not Zealot's fault for not knowing the lore behind the RP. It's your fault for not explaining it to him and all the other players through events to begin with.

Its still just as bad to just assume things about the server instead of asking.

thing is it's not very common to do it the way you did but it's very common for the rps to be real-timed

I dunno, you're in jail with some guard-looking dudes and you're being ordered around constantly all while you're armed with a pickaxe? It sounds like a pretty reasonable conclusion to draw that the best thing to do is act in self-preservation rather than mindlessly get bossed around for no perceived reason

Also your rule implies that characters cannot function without knowing the full extent of the lore, how is this a good thing?

I understand all of your points and I will work to improve the rules of the server. But that does not justify assuming how things work in a server. If he was unsure about something he should have asked.

I'v been hosting the server for a few days. No one has had any major problems with how it works. People join and from what I get. People enjoy it. The system is not hard to understand  and the best way to learn it is to just play. The Lore is  very well constructed. The map is high in quality and I try my best to make fun interesting events to mix up the inter RP drama.

you're so humble about it too!

but i'm beggining to question this statement. you say you haven't had any trouble with people, but earlier you write
I had been dealing with people FailRPing a large part of the day

It was not a jail. It was a small messhall in a ship. 90% of the people on the ship bored it willingly and knew that the man "me" was trying to help them.

Because when people do get in trouble in my server they where cases like you and just removed. Things carried on. People who where serious about figuring out the server and seriously role playing I have not had problems with.

When new players come to your server, they should be spawning in a special room or area where they are forced to learn the lore behind the RP and how to properly play the RP. It saves players the trouble of having to ask (or gambling and making assumptions), and it saves you the trouble of having to repeatedly explain to every person how to play. Just do this dude and it should do a lot to help solve your problem.

he wasn't unsure about it he just knew in his head it was right
like I said it's not very common to do it the way you guys did and it's important to point it out

He actually did have an info-room, but I was teleported out of it before I could read it all.
