Author Topic: We get it, I want to kill children in videogames.  (Read 23799 times)

imo everyone has a "shadow self" that they try to repress, and, if anything, violent videogames give people an outlet for that shadow self and actually help to prevent real life outbursts
lol

MLP is his outlet, lol.

it is kinda weird you want to have rape in fallout, but i can understand killing children because they're annoying as hell
coughbraithcough

Rape is a part of a chaotic post-apocalyptic world. It shouldn't be shown but it should at least be referred to. Caesar's Legion in NV raped and killed towns as a show of force, but the theme is nowhere to be seen in 3 or 4.

i can see that being useful for an autistic person but thats about it

I never claimed I want a rape simulator in Fallout 4.

All I said was that I find it weird how NPCs do not talk about the subject of rape. There is no backstories, logs, idle chit chat, NPCs "attempting" it during a random encounter.

The movie "A boy and his dog" this woman gets raped within like 10 minutes of the movie and the only thing he is concerned about is the fact that they killed her afterwards because he was going to do the same thing.

It's a post apocalyptic environment, it needs to be dark and brutal.

In NV not only is there plenty of instances where the subject of rape is brought up but if you go down to freeside you can hear a woman being raped in the background somewhere with the ambiance music.

So at least Obsidian knows how to make a depressing dark post apocalyptic game, even in a Las Vegas setting.

I agree, it was referred to in Skyrim multiple times, but there was no love

Kind of weird how they mention it in skyrim but not fallout 3 or 4.

skyrim is full of literal uncultured barbarians

skyrim is full of literal uncultured barbarians
fallout 4 had a serial killer who made modern art out of his victims. no rape, though, that'd just be too much.

skyrim is full of literal uncultured barbarians
thats literally wrong aside from bandits and forsworn

There is not even that many drug dealers or junkies in fallout 3 or 4.
