speaking of soda i have made a great discovery

pour some root beer (IBC, Henry Weinhard's, whatever, but make sure it's the good stuff) into a glass, and add a splash of half-and-half. top with whipped cream. the drink itself tastes just a root beer float, but at the end you get whipped cream with a nice infusion of root beer flavor.
