Sadly, it's impossible. Bad guys will have guns, even if we do a nation wide ban on guns. Only the lunatics would get them.

 If more people exercised their right to have firearms, the lunatics would be too scared to shoot stuff up because they know everyone is armed.

I think if we had gun safety classes in school, people wouldn't be as scared of guns as they are now.

i was referring to christian crusades
every religion has extremists, and there are underlying factors as to why islam in those areas are so messed up  as well as why they appeal to other messed up people

it could very well be buddhist, it could very well be jewish, it could be anything if the variables lined up in such a way for a country to fall so heavily and for things to go so apestuff and for everyone to hate them so much that they just become monsters

the orlando shooter was indeed muslim, but so the forget what, he was also openly anti-gay and said they all should die

You and people like McZealot need to shut the forget up about the Crusades. They were acts of war committed hundreds to a thousand years ago by religious and governmental bodies that have ceased to exist for just as long. Radical Islamic terrorism is a real threat today and they will not be stopped until they have killed us or we kill them. It is simple as that. We are the most powerful country in the world and Western ideology is in complete opposition to their's, we will always be a target to them and they will not stop. If they are messed up people like you and others have claimed then they need to be put down like the loving animals they are.

Outside of political attacks, which cannot be reliably predicted or stopped before they happen as was the case in Orlando, I feel like most other mass shootings or, "regular," murders are the result of mental disorder. The United States by far has the worst attitude towards mental health and drugs abuse of any other developed Western nation. Banning guns won't keep weapons out of the hands of crazy people, but treating them and making sure they aren't put in situations where they have access to weapons in an irrational state will go a long way.

Realistically, "Islam" itself probably isn't the problem. There's plenty of Muslims in America who like the comfy life the white Christians built for them, so they're fine with just passively/indirectly supporting muslim extremism rather than committing it themselves. The middle east is the loving problem. You spend 20 years in some rock-eating savage country like Syria and then when you're 5 minutes off the refugee boat into the 1st world suddenly the idea of "don't rape women and kill people" becomes a loving learning curve. They're the ones we need to imprison/exile. "Moderate muslims" are a very small minority, they've been culturally adjusted over the course of decades. Immigrants from the middle east are loving troglodytes and if you believe any different you're lying to yourself.

"Gun free" zones. They take away everyone's guns at the door. Until, that is, someone walks through the door already shooting.

And the terrorist problem is not a problem of nations. Half the nations in the Middle East are failed states ruled by small bands of regional gangs. The successful nations like Saudi Arabia, Iran, and the UAE all live under the tyranny of an Islamic theocracy still. Your and other's perception of a peaceful Muslim are of Muslims who have been assimilated into Western culture. They represent a small minority of the global Muslim population. Even then, large portions of them still openly sympathize with the motivations of many terrorist groups even if they don't agree with their methods.
