Author Topic: Democrats sitting-in congress for a vote on gun control  (Read 15345 times)

why can't it just be like the old west where basically everyone carries a gun, just more civilized, i mean honestly, if you knew at least 1-2 people near you had a firearm on them you'd probably think twice about shooting up a place, unless you're really loving batstuff insane beyond recovery and don't care.

not everyone wants to be responsible for their own safety or cannot devote the time to learn how to properly defend themselves

i wish people would want to be responsible for their own safety and devote time to learn how to properly defend themselves, this country's people have gotten weak  :cookieMonster:

Because most people like feeling safe. But gun-wise, that's really what it is.

Because most people like feeling safe.
Screw safety I want to rob a bank with a six shooter

this is like pointing out that a chef has more cooking accidents per year than the average civilian. the chef cooks more often. the police officers use their guns more often and/or are allowed to use them in public places.
a majority of the felonies/misdemeanors in my sources' statistics have nothing to do with guns-- this is hardly relevant

so do you really think police officers actually only shoot their guns once a year lmao? no, every competent law officer i know goes once a month if not more.
yes, i've talked about guns before with some officers who patrolled my highschool, i guess the officers in your parts take their job more seriously

but im still unclear on the point youre trying to make here?
your chef spiel makes this apparent

ccw holders are less fallible than police
my sources prove

Screw safety I want to rob a bank with a six shooter
You can rob a bank with nothing but your fists if you want to. They're just ordered to pass on the money when requested instead of resisting.

Well I guess I rob a bank every month then

I feel speshul

On one hand, I don't consider banning certain guns to be a major erosion of gun rights. On the other hand, I don't think it's actually going to do much to stop shootings like the one in Orlando.

huh?

you realize people are more likely to die driving their car than they are being in a situation where the place they're at is getting shot up.
it's not just time, it's money and circumstance. the people who don't want to own and carry a gun everywhere is in the majority. That doesn't mean they don't care for the safety of their lives.

i mean do you own a gun and if so, how did you go about getting it and what procedures did you go through

they are only doing so because they are the last legit positions in the government that your vote can actually affect.
and they are up for reelection, and they actually depend on you fools to favor them.

they wouldnt sit in for any of the other bullstuff we have to deal with. so dont fall for this phony gesture.

i actually legally qualify to purchase anything but a handgun (requires a permit) in the state

anyway, i failed to expand on the reasoning for most people not wanting/capable of owning a firearm and chose those two explanations, my b.

What would we ban

Realistically all the guns that we should ban are already banned. The average civilian can't own a fully automatic 7.62 rifle, or like, flame throwers for that matter.

pro gun control people go on and on about background checks. but they are already pretty thorough. i dont think they are aware that they are taking place.
no Hardcore Gamers are buying guns from gun shows. they are just stealing guns from legal owners.

plus violent crime is down a stuffload as is. we can have 10 fold more mass shootings per year and still be safer by thew decade then we were. its not even a big deal.
