It's great, but why the forget did they have to add glory kills. Why can't I disable them either, its really loving offputing slamming an imp with a shotgun and then it just stops and staggers like its out of mortal kombat. And if that wasnt bad enough they give you an advantage to doing it, along with numerous challenges to do it. (the perform 5 different glory kills on possessed was just loving stupid, it was basically rng if you did it, and it also wasnt hard in the loving slightest).

I have also never liked collectables as they always feel like they are put there to lengthen the game with something that isn't fun at all, and again, they put them as part of challenges for no goddamn reason.

increasing the damage enemies deal is the laziest way of implementing difficulty levels
it's also the worst

in nightmare mode, single hit can put you in the LOW HEALTH flashing state, which is when a glory kill will turn an enemy into a health pinata for a ~30hp gain as long as that indicator is still on your HUD

with sparse health pickups around the map, you're essentially forced to use glory kills to survive at all. UV seems easy enough that you can get away with not using them all the time. the AI is pretty stupid and doesn't get smarter with each difficulty.

the increased enemy damage on nightmare mode forcing you to use glory kills to survive has a pretty funny parallel:
the health drain tick in Doom 3's nighmare mode forced you to use the soul cube all the time.

full circle.

i was kinda interested in getting this a few months ago, but after the multiplayer beta i lost all interest. since its 40% off right now, would it be worth getting? id probably avoid MP entirely and just play single player or snapmap

the singleplayer is basicly the whole reason you get it, and it is pretty worth it. you should see if the demo is still up

at this point you are just grasping at any sort of reason to bash the game. i suppose thats what people should expect from a guy who refuses to accept any sort of change to a beloved franchise

you're a complete moron, but I'll bite.

I still find the game enjoyable (to an extent) even though it has a bunch of terrible design decisions.

the fact that the combat is largely based around glory kills detracts from the game.

i tried the demo, seems alright, but it is just the first level. id be happier to purchase it if snapmap is any good, since id get a lot more out of it

i quite liked wolfenstein the new order if that would make it seem like a better idea

snapmap is ass right now fam
uses multiplayer ruleset (eg: 2 weapon limit), only one tileset for now and a mindboggling limit regarding demons and items
however, you can play coop stuff with it so thats something

honestly, just buy it if you want to enjoy the singleplayer
