Gifts of pottery and bronze are sent to the friendly tribes with diplomats to establish relations, guarded by small amounts of pekhota to protect from bears. Bear pelts are a sought after commodity, and the Grand Prince offers official tags to brave hunters.

The ban continues his march towards the Enemy capital.

The power struggle for the jakogun king is going to end soon. The two last candidates for the king are Furuya Botan, an rich and powerfull jakogun general, and Murata Kazuyuki, an jakogun nobleman representing the people.

Soon after the Denbasie gains power in St. Alenaburg he forms a Legislature known as the Daprina, and picks around 600 noblemen from around the city, aswell as a small defensive army. Kalikuv, an explorer that works for the government plans to head eastward with around 20 Volunteer Guard (if it isn't east, I mean towards the way Gœðalaussland is.) to find fertile land for their farmers.

also pls add me to this region if you didn't know where I meant before.

My apologies for the delay in the map update.  I haven't received the proper files to do so.  Expect it soon enough?

I still dont have territory on the island :(
We'll have an update for the map today or tomorrow.

Efforts to expand the trading company's reach to farther tribes are made. Foreign policy is otherwise geared towards the improvement of relations with known foreign tribes.
The efforts work, but success has been limited in the rimlands because of attacks on caravans.  The problems are between both League and other tribal caravans.  The tribes suggest that secure checkpoints be built for quicker dispatches of guards to combat a hostile response, and allow the guard number to reach 8 per caravan for League efforts.  The collaborating tribes request that their number of guards be allowed to match whatever the League brings per caravan.

The rimlands seem to be tough, as many want good relations, but some prefer hostile means of acquiring goods.

Many enlist as bear hunters, and the population of bears goes down.  As an added plus, population of deer, elk, trout and salmon go up.

The march is met by no army, but a small task force of bowmen riding on horseback who fire a few shots and run away over the hills, faster than the large military campaign can pursue.  A high-ranking officer suggests that the enemy is probably mobile warlord/bandit clans, and it would be best to return to the cities to defend against a raid.

While the army is away, a warring clan raids the capital, stealing goods, and burning half of it to the ground.  The gods must have shown some mercy, however, since an incoming squall doused the fire and prevented an easy escape for the raiding party.  The ban's remaining domestic forces manage to cut down a good number of men and save some goods before the remainder of the party makes off with what they could.

Death toll: 1,200 military men, 14,000 civilians.

The legislature is too bogged down, many legislators argue.  Others show disinterest is what they say is an ineffectively large government.  Proceedings open to adjust the size to at least a sixth of the current size, many hope for more.

Kalikuv finds forest after forest, much of it littered with stones.  Perhaps some root vegetables can be grown in this unforgiving climate.

Damn, when can I get my spot?

Warriors are sent to take and expand their borders further around the range of the mountain(s) in the hopes of using the peak of the mountains as a point of surveying the surrounding area for cartography purposes.

Some gifts are sent to the elders of the western tribes as they're coaxed into joining Byartalena: Furs, corn beer, helmets and shields, and one is even given a (mostly) domesticated Kodkod, while the most influential of them is sent a warrior with some of the most excellent martial prowess that Byartalena has to offer as a personal guard.

The northern coastal people of the Garou are given orders to begin attempts to come up with and build plentiful amounts of the optimal design for a war ship they can come up with, with the hopes of setting off the explore the ocean and loot any settled coasts they come across.

Some other warriors gather to head south and raid and enslave people from the southern tribes, to try and bring fortune back to the homeland- razing what they can't take back with them.

The Denbasie takes notice of the inner conflicts in the legislature and fears it will lead to a split in the government. He removes 300 low ranking Nobles, in turn causing some of them to despise the Denbasie for wasting their time by bringing them in to the government, and then taking them out.

He consults some farmers about methods of farming in the climate, the more experienced ones have suggested the example given above- however, Kalikuv believes he can make a better profit out of it by simple tearing down as many trees as possible and perhaps start using slaves "employed" by the farmers.

You didn't address this part of my post

The rimlands seem to be tough, as many want good relations, but some prefer hostile means of acquiring goods.

The suggested military responses by both tribes and traders are agreed upon. In the rimlands, efforts are made to convince the friendlier tribes to secure trade routes with the League's help.

Within the League, there forms a mounting support of a unification offer with the economically/geographically/diplomatically closest tribes to the League.
Should such an offer be given, these tribes would not necessarily be giving up any freedoms. On a sub-confederal level, internal politics would remain the same. On a confederal level, the tribal leaders of these incorporated tribes would now be capable of getting elected to rule the League itself. If anything, joining the league would increase their abilities, not restrict them. Such a sovereign unification would also mean assured military and economic camaraderie, along with a significant increase in communications with the other tribes of the League. These tenants would prove to help in the protection of trade, and an increased rate in the tribes' socioeconomic development, especially when unification means the tribes would gain a much larger hold on the ever-expanding trade company and League-wide infrastructure improvement efforts.

The Grand Imperator approves of these motions, requesting the input of present diplomats from foreign tribes. This would be the expansion of a confederated League, after all, not an imperial monarchy.

ok yay im on the map i exist

Arlien comes into existence as a state as settlers come to realize they've crash landed on the island. Farms are planted, and harvested, and resources are collected and stored.

Scouts are sent to the west and southwest, each with a warband of 1,000 men.

The jakogun power struggle is over. Furuya Botan is now the new jakogun king.

His first declaration is to make better gear for combat with horses.

The first battle-chariots are made, that can carry 2 people at once. A larger sized chariot is made that can carry three people.
