Love the guys who are like 'forget MAINSTREAM stuffHOP IT SUCKS THEY ALL SUCK UNDERGROUND HIP HOP IS BETTER' and then you listen to their underground stuff and realize its just a bunch of boring poems about how life is suffering and how you need to open up your fourth eye or some stuff

Get with the times yo. This isnt the 90s anymore. These days people rap about success, not depression

Fr. 90% of soundcloud rappers I hear have the corniest rhymes ever. They think they are Aesop Rock when they end up sounding like PolitikZ.

I rest my case.
first off that's probably some massive fallacy

secondly George Harrison died of cancer what the forget are you talking about

Young thug wears womens clothes and believes that genders dont matter, advocating for the lgbt community

Beetles made a song about stuff.

Young thug shattered the fragile masculinity stereotypes in the Hip-hop community and crossed gender barriers. Made a song dedicated to one of the worst acts of animal cruelty in modern memory.

The Beatles made a song about a yellow submarine.

well the beatles made a song about magical mystery tour busses and empowered the tourbus community to advocate for their rights

What did young thug do? He shot up a tour bus. In broad daylight

I rest my case once again

woosh

Young Thug made a song and probably more than one about fookin wimen and gettin cashmoney and smockin weed
Not only that but he can't speak english either

Honestly judging music preference will only open up a warmhole of useless discussions and criticism.

the best part is when you ask if they produce their own beats
"i use instrumentals off youtube"

i have 2 close friends who were into making rap music (and yes, they're black). Bro A quit before he got into the mixtape phase, then in the spring joined a hardcore metal band as the lead vocalist/songwriter and is getting gigs all across the state (what a turn of events lol). Bro B on the other hand is currently grinding out a second mixtape. that should speak for itself, but to make things worse he got Bro A to feature on one of his songs for the hell of it - despite A not rapping for 2 or 3 years - and A blew him tfo in terms of lyricism and verbal skill. and ON TOP of THAT, Bro A is being taught how to play the drums and getting p decent at them, while Bro B doesn't play any instrument or even plan on learning how to produce his own beats. not any time soon, at least

tl;dr soundcloud rappers are a lost cause

Aren't you like 12 years old
could you not go commenting on my post right when you see it?
