I mean, Russian media is essentially propaganda for the government. It's entirely likely that they do have a new missile, but with way less explosive yield than they're bragging about.
But honestly, what difference does it really make? We both have just as many nukes as we need to erase either country from the map. We're still in a position of mutually assured destruction, and there's no way Russia would ever use this on us (or anyone else in our sphere of influence).
