Crowbcat's video explains pretty well why the switch is a waste of money.
Crowbcat specifically goes out of his way to find any negative video and collates them together, ignoring any positives. While there are legitimate points to be made, I don't like the presentation at all, especially when he starts throwing subjective opinions into the mix (his GTA V video was bitterly disappointing). Furthermore, his fandom his an army of super-cynical "gaming was good in the 90s" wankers who won't let common sense stand in the way of them getting to stuff all over new content.
The Switch has issues, but so did the Xbox 360, the PS3, the Challenger Space Shuttle and even my last restaurant outing. The simple fact of the matter is that the only way to thoroughly detect manufacturing defects in products is to extensively test every single unit as it leaves the factory, and not only would that increase costs but it'd also mean everybody would receive a pre-used console that's been stressed, reducing its future lifespan. Every Switch is under warranty (unless you void that by doing something inappropriately), so as much as its a pain in the arse, you can get your console replaced for free. That's more than I can say for the other examples I mentioned.
