I'm hoping for a reincarnation kind of deal. The whole theistic 'go to heaven' philosophy doesn't really appeal to me.
From how it's described, you basically go up there and worship your deity forever. Which might be cool for a couple decades, but after 5,000 years I could only see myself going insane with the realization that I'm suddenly a timeless, eternal soul living in a place that never changes. Inevitably it would become a sort of purgatory, and I'd spend most of my time watching the stuff happening down on Earth.
At least with reincarnation, you get to experience new things. I've even thought up a couple of ideas for how something like reincarnation might work. Nothing worth mentioning though, since it's all just the pseudoscientific stuff I come up with while showering or waiting for water to boil.
