"Yeah uh... What're we fighting?", Ryde says, rifle in hand.
"Infantry, possibly armored vehicles. Way've got momentum but way need to secure a bridge across the river so the enemy can't stall us. They've already taken down highway crossings but they probably can't blow all bridges and leave the city in a quickly. Way've got a tank for fire support, and an attack aircraft. The rest of this platoon will be supporting attacking the bridges north and south of our bridge, so everyone will be in about a half mile area. Downside is they know way're comin' so they are likely prepared to defend the bridge,"
Burke shifts in his seat, he puts his goggles on the front of his helmet and pulls down his balaclava.
"Chraist this country is forgetin' hot," he says.
"Anyway, the tank will be our most direct firepower. Et's good against buildin's but vulnerable to any A-T inside. The aircraft isn't as vulnerable as the tank but hay can only strafe the area, hay can't bomb the buildin's or else he might hit the bridge. If one of yas wants to try your hand at helping out the aircraft het shet, you can put the designator on your gun. Both the tank and the aircraft are on our radio network. Hell, they won't stop forgetin'
talkin'.
"I think eets funny!" Sabine chimes in from the driver's seat.
The radio is very much alive with banter.

: "Helmet hair, Crash, I'll race you to the bridge."

: "I'll kick your ass when you land limp richard."

: "I can kick your ass now."

: "I
will kick your ass now."
Someone in the convoy starts asking for bets.
"Devil to all Shank Victors and aircraft. Enforce radio protocol. We are approaching the A-O. Interrogative, aircraft Hammer, what do you see? Over."

: "Devil, Hammer, I think I can see the bridges now. South has a lot of obstacles on it, middles has some debris it looks like, north is obscured- Wait one... All bridges are standing. I see a couple hostiles in the open. Nothing along the road that parallels the river. The cross-streets are obscured. Out."
