The forget?
That's such a GOOD idea though.

its not cause your avatar would break upon joining other servers without the brickpacks

also people would basically build snakees which is dumb.

It's unnecessary though, and it'll be insanely complicated to actually pull off
Then why not create the illusion of building your own avatar?
limit the bricks to each individual part and limit the decals and you basically have the original blockland avatar system but it looks
like it's made of bricks.

Besides, Insanely complicated sounds like a challenge.

Well you could limit it so it would be default bricks only.
Also you could limit the height, and even the brick selection if you so desire.

It's dumb as hell though, it'll be hard to pull off and be clunky as stuff, it's unnecessary, it removes detail instead of adding it, etc etc

it's a dumb loving gimmick just to be a feature!!!! without actually being useful or needed.

challenge =/= worth doing

what does this system enable you to do really? how would server admins control the size/scale/dimensions of players? how would animations on items work when equipped to players? what about mount locations? how would you hide/unhide/recolor certain nodes with serverside scripts like in blockland? these are only a few problems you wil run into trying to do this.

its a dumb idea that would just lead to problems making gameplay feel coherent, esp for server hosts who are designing a full gamemode from the ground up.

When creating a game, you shouldn't add in features just for the sake of having features. That can ruin a game and make it feel more like a huge gimmick than actually fun.

How about we make the building tool an actual tool this time.
So the building and painting UI aren't on the screen at all times.
It's kind of annoying when you're playing a minigame with no building involved.

I have been playing since 2008, and I've never noticed that option.
what the forget

I've always seen that option in passing but it never sank in until now

Did you know hitting Control or Shift (Depends on if your using a mac or something like that) while hitting E your paint switching goes backwards?

You oldies must be losing your eyesight, I've known that was there for ages B)

I'm an oldy too but I'm just the kind of person that checks every single setting.

ye i know stuff like that, but idk why the show hud thing has evaded me for this long

the issue is
do you want it to be useful for making maps
or do you want it to be ingame fun

if there's more of an ingame, like minecraft, then building ingame should match it
but if working on a large project like a map, tools like that would be useful
