I'm not reading through several pages of forgone conclusions but OT: This is how the left strangles itself, by taking criticism that could be helpful and proceeding to shove it right back down the throat of the person who offered it
victim complexes and autistic screeching triggered by hearing different opinions have no place in a tech company that prides itself on having a reputation for hiring some damn smart people.
Instead engaging in a discussion and perhaps offering counter-arguments, liberals will often resort to ad-hominem attacks (YOU'RE A tribal loveIST HOMOPHOBIC national socialist), argumentum ad lapidum, (ARE YOU KIDDING ME? [Aka dismissing an argument as "illogical" or "ridiculous" without explaining why] ) tribalism, (us vs them, identity politics) arguing against strawmen, or resorting to No-True-Scotsman fallacies (no REAL American would support deportation).
It's quite sad tbh because I love to debate but I find that most attempts to engage in a debate IRL or on here end in one of the aforementioned fallacies, or my opponent attempts to "moralize" the issue by claiming their position is "moral" and just, while the other is inherently "immoral" and unjust, and demonizing/shaming anyone that disagrees with them.
If anything, at least SeventhSandwich and I have had some insightful discussions in the Politics topic and the aforementioned fallacious discourse is, for the most part, absent.
