Author Topic: Charlottesville protests thread  (Read 55497 times)

Eh, the confederates lost, so I can't say I'm incredibly surprised or concerned about the removal of the monuments. That's just what happens when you lose, the winners get to take infinite stuffs on you and write whatever they want about you in the history books. People who try and see through the partisan bullstuff usually find the truth anyway.

I see it as a sign of immaturity to demolish all memorabilia of the opposing side, but hey, it's not like anybody expected any different from the left. The funny part is that demolishing some ancient statue of Lee isn't going to help the liberal agenda, it'll just polarize people further against it.

It's incredibly hard to find what the forget is happening to the statue because all I loving find are riot news. But I highly doubt it's being demolished. Museum is being tossed around but I don't know how accurate that is.

The statue is going to be stored and then maybe brought out for a Museum. There's really no need to fuss over it being taken down, as it was voted for in due process. States rights bitcheees

I'm just pissed that a bunch of literal white supremacists and national socialists are the only ones protesting against the removal of the statue

I think this thread shows that there are a bunch of reputable people willing to defend the statue being where it is but no we have to have actual fascists represent us

cue the MSM and everyone on twitter attributing it to conservatives and Republicans

Frankly I don't give a forget if its removed or not its a loving statue lmao. If there's a better use for its spot for something else, then so be it.

this thisss

the most I would do to the statue would be to change the plaque (I'm p sure there's a plaque) to reflect less on "glory and pride of the confederacy" or whatever and more on what Shadow highlighted about Lee, how he was able to concede a point and still be a great citizen

y'know, more on Lee's humbleness and less on the "WEW BLOOD AND SOIL"

this is actually the most annoying part of this whole mess
once a substantial neonational socialist group defends something you can't really do the same without being accused of being someone you're really not
