it's a little different in 'stand your ground' states--but not until he's actually breaking into your apartment, which he wasn't.
It's a lot different in stand your ground states. I could've made this argument earlier but I didn't want to turn this thread into that, but you have no clue what you're talking about here.
Here's the reality of the situation that could've occurred. There were three individuals here, me, the tweaker, and my mother. If I chose to do the wrong thing here, and shoot him, I could have gotten away with it. My mom would have vouched for me, and we could've claimed self-defense. There's nothing indicating otherwise. Stand-your-ground covers perceived threats. I believe he had a weapon holstered in his waist-band, this is also what I told the police.
he's bragging about how he almost killed a dude on an internet forum. what else do you think his intentions are? he's clearly ignorant of self-defense laws but that's irrelevant. he felt challenged or threatened by a dude and instead of getting himself to safety he argues with the guy and considers committing a murder with a lethal firearm (against someone who we don't even know is armed). he got a wound to his pride and acted irrationally. that's not terrible. people do it all the time. but let's not act like it's anything other than what it is.
it's like one of those stories you'd tell to impress someone at a bar. except its on an internet forum
This isn't bragging this is venting. I was nervous and scared at the time of creation.
You talk a lot of stuff and know nothing. Get the forget out of my thread.
