yes, his name is GG Allin

Probably saw 300 Metal bands this year between playing with them, working at shows, or just seeing bands I like. Recognized highlights this year: Exodus, Obituary, Dust Bolt, GWAR, GHOUL, D.R.I., Kreator, Sadistic Intent, Demolition Hammer, NECROT, Nunslaughter, and a lot of smaller bands that come through my town, as well as bands that I can't remember right now because I was really stoned when I saw them. Looking forward to a new year of Metal for sure!!! There are some shows I'm pretty excited for next year.

I saw obituary when they did that tour with cannibal corpse forgot the name of the tour but it was a year ago. Also, I heard the new reformed Demolition Hammer loving rips, how was their show?

I thought Post Rock meant the genre, not a command

Anyways, anyone like Archspire? I think they're pretty good, albeit if a bit slow going

I mean, if we're gonna get real obscure, here's a great song with almost no coverage: https://youtu.be/krWnG51uR8Q

Also the most defining power-metal song of all time, Emerald Sword: https://youtu.be/y5kLxQGbRYg
I'm not sure if any genre has ever had a single song that was as iconic and influential.

HammerFall is an awful band but they tend to have pretty good title tracks, especially Threshold: https://youtu.be/0ntbExKqZuk?t=33s

"Unsung Heroes" by Ensiferum is 90% garbage but includes their two best songs, Burning Leaves and In My Sword I Trust: https://youtu.be/-2WqQY_xSSM

The show was rad. They sounded like they did on Tortured Existence and Epidemic of Violence. They played second to last, Samael headlined and half the venue cleared out. (California Deathfest)
