I guess that's what happens when you base your entire sense of society on what you see on the select few online communities you visit.

Especially since most employers don't laugh at resumes. They get hundreds of them. It's a tedious and very involved process. When they want to hire someone, they're looking for valuable assets. Not to get their political jollies off. And if it's something they wholeheartedly don't agree with, they still wont laugh. They may give it a puzzled look and move on to the next one but that's still a very rare case.

Pretty much this. If an employer sees something like eagle scout on your CV, no matter your gender, is gonna give you a leg up on most jobs. Don't give a forget what tac nuke's opinion is, that's literally not how any of this works.
