Floating Bricks v2

Author Topic: Floating Bricks v2  (Read 8399 times)

Successor to my older (and bugged) mod, HackPlant.

This fixes the bugs of HackPlant, while increasing readability and documentation of the code.

Features:
  • Plant, load, and save floating bricks.
  • Undo, hammer, d-wand, or otherwise destroy floating bricks without issue.

Comes with 3 RTB prefs.
  • Enable Floating Bricks? [Self Explanatory]
  • Admin Only? [Self Explanatory]
  • Timeout [Minimum time (in seconds) between planting floating bricks]

Changes from HackPlant:
  • Fixed bug where bricks would be appear to be destroyed on the client side but still exist on the server side
  • Fixed bug where brick ownership would be stripped from floating bricks on load
  • Re-exported sound effects as 8-bit unsigned PCM .wav instead of 16-bit, effectively halving the size of the sound effects without too much quality drop.

Ah, that appears to be an issue -- I forgot to set the printID field. I've fixed it and updated the file, please re-download from the link in the OP.

That name change is gonna be confusing with the other mods that enable floating bricks.
Good update regardless.

Edit: The float error comes up when planting floating bricks.
Not sure if that can be helped
