just use vlc or some other media player
why do you wanna use itunes in the first place? the only real use it has is putting songs on an ipod

sounds like it might just be a faulty CD since its the only one not converting properly, however, you did say that they worked in the car. weird.

make sure your library will be fine and then try a reinstall

that's why I'm using itunes

can we stop trying to switch me off itunes, it isn't going to happen

but you don't need to use it to listen to the music lol
much less to rip a cd. you should be able to just literally copy the files from the cd, I don't think drm has ever really been an issue with regular cds?

I buy CD's all the time and import them into iTunes without any problems, and I can put whatever album artwork I want to them. Sad to see you aren't having the same luck OP.

Unless it's formatted as a data disc with audio files on it rather than as a traditional audio CD, you won't be able to rip it like that, no matter if DRM is involved or not.

this is the only reason why i put up with itunes

to be honest, I have little experience with CDs, but that is generally how they've appeared when I've used them
it is probably conceivable that windows would decode CD-DA, though I can't find any evidence whether or not it actually does

but in any case VLC probably does a better job than itunes

My only problem with iTunes is how it can't play .m4a on Windows but it can play on Mac.

Seriously, why?

can't you rip a CD through windows media player, then add the songs to your itunes library? i use itunes for all of my music but i'd always used windows media player for burning/ripping discs

i personally use dbPowerAmp because of it's laser calibration stuff. it's crazy good and i rip everything to CBR 320kbps when i do end up getting CDs. i personally buy vinyl and download/stream whatever i really want to listen to. forget itunes, they can go back to 2008.

okay so I figured out the album artwork thing

apparently itunes hates .wav format, so I'm currently converting all the albums that couldn't use artwork to apple lossless

now all that's left to figure out is why my computer hates these two other albums I have
