the headline of that argument is a great example of how the media divides people, Matthew. andy tifa certainly isnt a good guy on the battlefield, but the way that article is presented makes people who stand for real liberty seem far-left (a common prejudice)

As the director of PR at Antifa Corp. we hereby declare we are not thugs and gang members. We are good hardworking people!

How are they at odds? If a woman is raped or molested and ends up pregnant unwillingly, as a victim of a crime they should most certainly have the choice. Any woman that has given birth to a child as a product of rape or molestation and raised it as their own, regardless of how the child came to be, is one heck of a good hearted and strong willed person in my book. For any woman who doesn't think they can handle that, it is understandable but I would certainly hope they would at least consider adoption before abortion.
i have a hard time understanding this stance. it seems to me that, if you're asserting life begins at conception and that the life of a human-to-be in the womb is equal to that of a born child, then abortion is and always will be equivalent to murder. how can you allow abortion in any case? would it be acceptable for someone who was raped to carry the child to term, go through labor, and then kill the born child? obviously not, so if their worth was equal as a zygote, what's the deal? i agree with the reasoning you gave here for allowing it, but i'm confused about how it fits into the pro-life perspective. not trying to have a "gotcha" moment or anything, it's something i've genuinely been wondering

I dont think he stated at what time he believes life starts

That being said, if a woman becomes pregnant unexpectedly while knowingly having consensual intercourse, they should be aware of the risks no matter how 'careful' they think they are being whilst doing so. Choosing to have love and then aborting a child because you don't feel ready to be a parent is pure bullstuff, have some responsibility.
so to be clear, you think they should be forced to give birth to the child as a punishment? do you also think they should be forced to raise it until the age of 18?

Btw, we can tell that you got the end quote from George Carlin - who was literally also a progressive.
is this the mentality of progressives?

have some responsibility.
ah yes, the "have some responsibility" while arguing about forcing them to birth and take care of a child, which is legit the biggest responsibility

forcing peeps to become parents is stuffty through and through

For example: I am against abortion, but in cases of rape or molestation there should be exceptions for these victims

is this the mentality of progressives?

I don't blame him for being a doomer lol. "The planet isn't going anywhere... we are!"

I dont think he stated at what time he believes life starts
i guess not, but regardless, it still stands to reason that at some point, the being in the womb is human enough that you shouldn't abort it in most cases, but i guess not human enough to forbid abortion in cases of rape? it seems odd to me
