Seriously. Its less optimal to call this wealth inequality and more accurate to say Wealth Hoarding.

Reminder that this video is 8 years old.

The numbers today are far worse than in 2009. The year this data is referencing.

capitalism is a cookie clicker game except with real life consequences for having a high/low score

Anyone advocating for the lockdown but complaining about wealth inequality should rope themselves onto a train track, respectfully

damn your right we should just force mcdonalds workers to go work with the possibility of dying a horrible disease so that mr McCEO can sit at home and collect their labour profits

if they dont want to go to work they cant complain!

If they had all locked down, this would've ended a long time ago.

But the rich couldnt risk their investments, so they had exceptions.

Mom & Pop Shops? Locked Down.
Corporate prison store? Basically fully open.

The problem wasnt the lockdown caused wealth inequality.

The problem was that the lockdown did not apply equally.

we could solve poverty if everybody just buys dogecoin at the same time and then sells high. we would all be millionaires

No.

The supply of doge coin will increase too quick for that to matter.

Besides, someone needs to want to buy it for that price first.

Oh my god, shut the forget up. It's a good thing McDonalds workers are essential, at least they know they're getting paid

You know what Idek why I'm about to argue with you loving handicaps again nvm

Getting paid differently based on age, and regardless of your age it's barely enough to avoid death if you don't have someone else backing you outside of your slave wages.

I bet they're sure glad they know they're being allowed the income to afford food, maybe rent and either gas or electric, but likely gas for their aging vehicle.

If these people are so "Essential" then these companies would have started competing with the income of unemployment, which is typically higher.

But no, gotta use the socialism sock puppet to scare away any positive social change.

"INFLATION! That's the only way they'll get paid more. Nope, don't look at my trillions of dollars. Inflation, that's the only way. It's either this or SOCIALISM *BOO!*"

Fine then.

Socialism. Communism.

It's either or, as long as trillionares and billionares get their wealth stripped from them. the idea of "Too Much Power" can apply in wealth also.

When an individual's wealth can buy policy, it's time to have that wealth taken.
