wait wait wait... which N word are we talking about here?
There's only one N word when it comes to the topic of 'racism' and 'old American traditions', please don't play dumb

EDIT: actually who cares. you care i know that but i dont care and i would wager to say most black people dont care either unless you're looking to get your ass kicked lol
How can speak for how black people must feel on the matter when you yourself do not care? You just invalidated your own wager

Black people only don't seem to care because it's just become so routine to be called a slur by edgelords and out of touch boomers, but that shouldn't be the case in this day and age

the monday word? i only ask because somehow "brother" got thrown into N word status when i was always under the assumption the N word was monday but apparently that can also be brother too sometimes. babying your language around black people has always been so foreign to me. if im supposed to see these people as my equals then im certainly not going to care what language i use around them cause i wouldn't do that with any other person or whatever type of people. if they call their closest people brothers and even call me a brother then im gonna call them brothers because at this point its just a sign of respect.

speaking of which, how can you speak for how black people feel? were not even black. who gives a forget? either they'll let you know when its a problem or they wont. they've never done that to me. have they done that to you? i also live in the hood so that might be the difference

Oh, okay, i guess we're just crashing out now

Yeah, so, Kirk getting shot by some Fuentes-worshiping-groyper for not being enough of a national socialist is exactly why, even though it was just 3 randos harassing me (who I don't even think have accounts on these forums), is exactly why I don't think someone threatening to tell ICE I was undocumented is that much of a bluff.

welcome back ladios

"we can always tell"
guy is wearing a mask in the pure summer my dude. ya u can tell

"A person who wants to uphold tribal traditions is labeled a tribal"
so being an american is tribal now? and free speech because it hurts someone feelings? that's life dude, you're not always going to agree with somebody, that doesn't give you the right to dictate their life. "I don't agree with this person therefore they shouldn't exist" ?? doesn't seem right

his point is that he never said being american is tribal, and that he never said you should be allowed to kill someone for disagreeing with you, and that is a completely different statement from what he originally said. please interpret his arguments honestly, even if they're in meme-form.

This is even funnier because we already know the shooter was at the very least lived with and raised by Mormon Annoying Orange supporters, was not registered to any party, and that most of his memes on the casings were right-wing in nature.

Also, ICE wears masks in the summer time. You can tell.

You're missing the point entirely and as a society we've been over this countless times. The N-word isn't just about syllables, its about history, power, and who has the right to reclaim it. Black people using "brother" with each other is a form of reclamation, a way to flip a weaponized word into something communal. You, me, or any other non Black person don't get to decide it means respect just because it feels easier for us that way.

Saying "if I treat them like equals, I'll use the word too" isn't treating them like equals, its ignoring their lived experience and centering your own comfort. Equality isn't pretending history never happened; it's respecting boundaries that exist because of history. The N-word was specifically brought into the lexicon in its current context by white slavers in reference to black slaves. It has always been a word about dehumanization.

And no, its not about babying your language, its about not cosplaying oppression. If Black folks in your neighborhood are cool with you saying it, that's between you and them. But pretending that means its universally fine is like saying, "my buddy lets me smoke in his car, so I guess its cool to light up in any strangers car too." Context matters, power dynamics matter, and dismissing all that as who gives a forget is exactly the kind of casual ignorance that keeps these conversations going in circles.

i agree completely. the point im trying to make is that masterlegodude wants to imply

Freedom of speech does not mean a white guy can shout the N word or vague national socialistsms for fun
which is incorrect. words have consequences and i think everyone understands that. a "white guy" or any guy for that matter can shout whatever they want for fun. thats what free speech is. i imagine you think this only relates to people on stage or in large crowds, but eventually that would trickle down to the individual. should people get arrested or forgeted with because they call their good friends friends or something?

thats why im beginning to believe theres a disconnect between some people and the real human experience. when you have a really good relationship with someone its natural to say harsh stuff to each other because you know neither of you actually mean it in a hateful way and its fun. its a sign of trust and strengthens your bond with others. i hope its obvious i wouldn't advocate just throwing the n word around willy nilly to random strangers. that'd be like me calling people i dont even know friends all the time. but i absolutely think you should be able to say that without being hunted by shadow police for wrong think or something

matt walsh next please

I just don't get how it's so hard to understand the basic concept of having humility and respect for people not of your skin color

It shouldn't even take being called out for doing so to be like "oh,  i shouldn't be doing this"
