Yeah the snap benefits thing is kinda the last straw. I've been seeing people "stepping up" and encouraging each other to donate to food banks and supposedly the national guard is preparing to set up foodlines in the absence of food stamps. The narrative seems to be that this is heart-warming and inspiring, but I see it as either enabling a non-functional government to continue it's bad behavior, or at the very least it's the beginning of people figuring out they can provide for themselves better than the government can.
This is called "loving Around" with food, which NEVER ends well.
SNAP benefits are basically a necessity even if you work a job. Wal-Mart relies on their employees being on SNAP, Amazon relies on their employees being on SNAP. SNAP subsidies are an oil that keep money moving and they also make it so the supply of food isn't hitting scarcity levels. Farmers, Grocery stores, basically every step along the food chain benefit from SNAP Benefits.
Without SNAP the economy is going to take a hit and more specifically, the food economy is going to take a major hit. People are going to start starving.
Either way, it's over, boys. I'm legitimately in the market for my first gun. The senate in my state was supposed to approve a budget three months ago and haven't yet, so a bunch of our state programs aren't working either, and on top of that we've lost food stamps.
Get something that takes reasonably common and cheap ammunition.
There is no illusion anymore that this government is legitimate. I know ladios was all worried about getting deported but they quite literally cannot deport us all. This country is toast. I'm 100% serious.
They're evil, but they're so god damned stupid. They don't have the power or knowledge to keep their acts secret. The instant one of these morons kill a grandma everyone is going to know it instantly.
I'm not even saying we should overthrow the government. I'm saying it's happening now whether we want it or not. Look at history, it's the same story every time. You forget with the food, and people snap. The ruling class in this country decided to loving eat us and we can either group up, pool our resources and make our own damn community since they won't let us have one, or we can die. The choice is being thrust upon us now.
Yeah, this time period reminds me less of 1930's Germany, and more like 1820's/1830's France with a hint of the end of Tsarist Russia.
Apparently horseshoe theory is real because I never thought I would go so far extreme left that I'd become a second amendment freak, but here we are. This is the exact kind of stuff washington and all those gay boys were thinking about when they said everyone needs to have a gun.
