Best. Defense. Ever.

I have 2 structures for my farm/ main base, right?

Between them is an overpass, which has fortifications on it.

In the event of a siege, as a last ditch resort you can retract the bridge that the fortifications are attached to, dropping the fortifications and knocking the enemy unconscious/ dead! :D

I bet the best defense would be having a river flow through tunnels, and in the event of a lock-in, open flood gates and have the water channeled out the opening of the fortress, making it impossible to get inside.
