Yes, I've played it many times and I own the Orange Box. Since you seem to be thinking it's so necessary that I've played portal heres a story of how I came to obtain p0rtal:
Well, it was about 10:30. I was hanging around Marion Shopping centre with a few freinds and we decided to check out what they had at EB games. One of my freinds, CJ, was talking about how he had an ultimate kill in GTA IV on our way and Amery was saying that once he ran over a whole walkway for about 10 minutes.
When we entered EB games, we started to ask eachotehr how much money we had. I had $190 on my credit card, CJ had $82 and Amery had $144 on his card. We began to look around EB games to find a good game we could play together. At first CJ picked up Medal of Honour but me and Amery decided that we didn't like it so he put it back. I then saw the Valve logo out of the corner of my eye and went over to have a closer look. CJ asked me what I had and in response I asked him if we should get Orange box. CJ looked at Amery and they both agreed. We went to the cash register put three copies of Orange box on teh counter. The Cashier man asked for IDs as for the game was rated MA15+. We showed him our IDs while CJ started looking for his $80 in his wallet. I scanned my card, put in my code and got the game and put it in my bag I had. Amery did the same while CJ handed the second cashier man his money.
When it was time to go, we decided a time we could chat on MSN to start up our games to verse eachother. We decided 6:00 was a suitable time to start. Between 1 O'clock and 6O'clock I installed the games on Orange box and decided to start playing p0rtal first. I found it amazing.
And that's my story of how I obtained Portal.
And as for the Dev from Valve, perhaps he is pulling my leg but he did say it was your character who was singing the song and teh voice is just a sort of pun of the gameplay. He said that "Still Alive" is ment to be a hint she is still alive after the destruction of GLaDOS.
