in the beginning they tried to hype their game to us, trying to play us for fools like all the kids from that community did.
however other then horribly losing all arguments and respect for themselves, they stick around because they are fans of blockland and at this point in their reputation, they are afraid to admit it to us.

They aren't self-opposing.

It means they won't be fans in the sense of 'Fanboy', but that they admire the actual game, in pure form.

No it is self opposing due to the fact that they said they are not fans but they love blockland. Fans love the games they love so if a person says they love a game, by logic they are a fan of it.
