I just watched the review, and there was 1 thing that was true:
Following the storyline is difficult.
But everything else was either skewed, or entirely incorrect. When he says that the tranquilizer knocks them out in 1 hit, that's only if you're playing on the easiest difficulty. When he says that there's practically no sneaking, that's on the easiest difficulty.
I'm assuming by now that Yahtzee plays on the easiest mode of MGS4 and is more of a generic FPS kind of guy. If he played on anything harder than the very easy mode, he would have had to use his brain to get past the first part of the game. I played on normal difficulty, and it took me an hour just to get past the prologue part of the game because I was sneaking my way past the Gekkos, rather than running and jumping between their legs. The cardboard box wasn't used as frequently, and neither was the barrel. I personally used the OctoCamo most, but I still found times where I needed to use the cardboard box to sneak by a guard or two. Overall, I believe that he didn't get the full experience of MGS4 because he played on the easiest difficulty, and he should give it a try on a harder mode.
tl;dr
Yahtzee's review was skewed and mostly incorrect.
