Yes, lets build an "inspiring", overly complicated, inefficient huge target building. No terrorist would ever want to attack a structure that symbolizes so much for the American people. Surely the fact that destroying this new "beacon of freedom" would crush the hearts of millions of Americans would just slip by potential aggressors.[/sarcasmIf they just wanted to restore the functionality of the old trade center towers, they wouldn't have built 1 extra large complex tower will all of the fancy architecture. The central purpose of the building is clearly to rally the thoughts/minds of the people...and it is this fact that makes the towers such an appealing target. It was a foolish decision and if the tower is never built it would be for the better.Obviously we don't intend for any structure to be blown up (except for movie sets) but even a trinket of common sense would tell you that this freedom tower idea is just asking for trouble.
Actually, the Freedom tower is more than aesthetics. It's architecture has something to do with making the streets around it less polluted, and I believe that there are a bunch of Solar Panels on it too, but it doesn't stop there. I can't remember what else it has.
Solar panels : Take more energy to produce than they will ever make in their life times. As for any other environmental benefits...still moot. A polar-bear-friendly target is still a loving target.
I see your point, but I'd imagine that if they took it down again, we'd stop being "Hunt them down..." and start being "OOH-RAH, LET'S NUKE THE MAGETS"Just a theory.
Even if you did launch nukes. You'd only destroy a small percentage of the terrorist organizations whilst killing off millions of innocent civilians.
MAGETS
Pretty sure it's maggots.
Facepalm.
Can I just ask, what the forget is with the users of this forum being addicted to catastrophes?Bones is addicted to the titanic,Twix[whatever] is addicted to the twin towers.Anyone else got a freaking obsession?
I'm found of the diversity Riddler had in his death camps. If he can bring together different cultures and give them one common goal, why can't modern society?
I like Linen better. He tried to teach Russia that sharing is good.
all those bombshelters we built during the Cold War.
