On what level do you think of vegans?

VEGANS ARE THE BEST!
Vegans are ok and we should respect that.
Vegan is a little too far, and we should be vegetarian.
I don't care either way.
I can't live without meat.
Vegans suck but I respect vegetarians.
Vegans and vegetarians suck.
SCREW VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS!

Can vegetarians drink Dr. Pepper?

I mean, there's so many ingredients that go into various flavorings, there's got to be an animal product in there somewhere.

When you take a look at all the resources it takes to raise meat for human consumption, it really isn't worth it. Half the water in America is used to raise meat. Also, animals are usualy tortured before they are killed.

So plants do not need water to grow?

Apparently plants can detect stress and show some chemical signals in the same way we show pain signals when you start e.g. cutting them to bits. I suggest this as inhumane and therefore we should give up eating, apart from synthesized foods.

Wait, power requirements. Coal, oil and gas = fossilized animal remains. CLEARLY BURNING THEM IS WRONG

We should all give up eating. To be totally fair and nice and happy.

Nah, there's always rocks.

But those may have animal fossils in them!

what about those micro germ things? D:

We can always eat raw copper nuggets. Copper forms naturally in the earth(no chemicals needed to extract from ore) and it's antimicrobial so nothing can live on it.

YOU MONSTER, KILLING VEGETABLES FOR FOOD

Vegetarians vs. Meat Eaters:

1.) It takes 78 calories of fossil fuel to produce 1 calorie of beef protein; 35 calories for 1 calorie of pork; 22 calories for 1 of poultry; but just 1 calorie of fossil fuel for 1 calorie of soybeans.

2.) It takes 3 to 15 times as much water to produce animal protein as it does plant protein.

3.) It takes up to 16 pounds of soybeans and grains to produce 1 lb. of beef and 3 to 6 lbs. to produce 1 lb of turkey & egg.

4.) 20 vegetarians can live in the space it takes for one meat eater to live.

5.) Due to overgrazing 850,000,000 people live on land threatened by desertification & over 230,000,000 already live on land so severely desertified that they are unable to sustain their existence & face imminent starvation

6.) The 1,300,000,000 cattle in the world emit 60,000,000 tons of methane per year (methane is a greenhouse gas & leads to global warming)

7.) In the USA in 1979 145,000,000 tons of crops were fed to cattle resulting in only 21million tons of animal bodies - the cost of the wasted crops was $20,000,000,000

8.) Meat-eating has been linked with cancer, heart disease, strokes, diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, kidney stones, and many other devastating diseases. By eliminating meat from your diet you can take a crucial step towards a long life of health and happiness.

9.) Meat contains approximately 14 times more pesticides than plant foods. Dairy products contain over five times the amount.

10.) We are eating way too much protein. In fact it is almost impossible to get too little protein. If you just lived on potatoes each day you'd have enough. We only need between 44 to 55 grams a day. Some of us are consuming three times that amount. Excess protein has been linked to Alzheimer's disease. Vegetables will easily supply your daily needs without the risks.

11.) An acre of farmland devoted to soybeans will provide roughly 30 times more protein than an acre devoted to cattle grazing.

12.) The average American eats 400% of the RDA for protein. This causes excess nitrogen in the blood that creates a host of long-term health problems.

Boom.

I voted for both of the extremes.

Because I could.

Statistics...ugh...

1)It takes 1 bullet to kill a pompous vegan.

2)It takes 1 bomb to kill a household of pompous vegans

Seriously. Not eating meat is for handicaps. At least, not eating meat for any reason other than "I don't like it" is for handicaps.

Meat is awesome. It's got great protein, tastes delicious, and is usually considered the main part of a meal. Without meat, when going to a restaurant what would you get? A meat hold the meat with a side of a piece of lettuce?

Also seriously. If an animal is going to die anyways and it has no choice whatsoever, why would it matter how it died? I would assume companies wouldn't waste a day torturing an animal before killing it, that would waste way too much time. Instead, they kill them in a more practical, and I would assume more quick way. (However, this is just what I'm assuming.)

Also, just for the record, most people who torture animals are hicks and people who hate peta. I would know. Chopping off a chickens head and watching it run around is fun!  :cookieMonster:

Also, I voted the bottom 2.
