In 1990 they sold 5 dollars per stuffty tiny brick car and it probably only took 1 dollar to make.

Greens can be used for moldy cheese.

They have to make money somehow.

Lego sets have always been the same price, back in 1990 it took 400 pieces (max) for the largest sets.
That would be about a 30 dollar set today, nothing has changed in pricing, just the need for pieces.

They need to make molds which takes money.

They also need to pay for printing, packaging, shipping, and other.

The plastic alone now costs much more because of color matching.

Those would be the only things to change the cost, not the bricks themselves.

Oasis Trading Post (Lego store you poopies)
There's still some stuff on the site I made when I was, like, 7 if I'm correct.

>post something new from lego

Honestly I thought the Maersk set was pretty cool, if only for the engine. I thought that even for the price, it looks good as a set, with lots of details and, in my opinion, a capability to be appreciated by most Lego fans. It also has the advantage of currently being less expensive than the other two railway-based sets, even if it isn't available yet.

tl;dr I thought it looked nice and a bit cheaper than other sets.

Does anyone have any opinions on the current Creator/City sets? They're among the only sets that truly seem worth buying at the moment.
