I was messing around in Maya and I made this.



I'm going to try and find the image of this monster guy I made for a game assessment back in 2013.

Made this, gonna use it for cover art.



Maybe it's just me but I don't really dig that palette you used. The beige doesn't really contrast the transparentish blue and teal well. I was thinking more along the lines of either a black background with a white kind of reflection thingie or perhaps a blue with a similar saturation that beige has, which is basically not much. That's just my preference though.

It's not supposed to contrast though. It's supposed to have that kind of "washed out, sepia-but-not-really-sepia" feel to it.

Maybe it's just me but I don't really dig that palette you used.

Should i make the open, power, and reset buttons on the console and the keys on the keyboard 3D rather then keeping them textured on? It's only 420 tris, that's not a whole lot, right? Especially considering that there are a bunch of other weapons that are higher poly and more detailed

My opinion may be a minority, but I find the simplicity in the decal design to actually be pretty cool and fitting.

Avoid non-colouring textures at all costs, I say, they look like crap up close and look like garbage at anything below high quality setting.s

More people need to use textures for Blockland stuff instead of adding 100+ polys to make a small detail no one cares about.

I fixed up the keyboard to look less flat, smooth shaded the two round things on the battery and also made the console's power light be off on the item model


Anyone got ideas for a name?

If you actually ended up modeling the keyboard you should have instead went for the original thing.

I forgot that was actually a thing, i'll have to try that now
